The genus Pleurothallis is
a whole world of strange species; more than 1,600 have been recorded from Mexico
to northern Argentina. Plants in this section are seldom grown as they
are said to need a cool greenhouse whereas most Pleurothallis species prefer intermediate conditions. - RHS
