The American Orchid Society is more than just a flower club. Throughout its 85-year history the AOS, in keeping with its vision and mission, has strived to bring our members timely and state-of-the-art orchid information, support basic and applied research in orchids, and monitor and support conservation effort both here in North America as well as throughout the World.

The Batavia Orchid Society (BOS) welcomes all orchid enthusiasts. We pride ourselves in sharing information on orchid growing. Every month we feature speakers or programs that will help you learn more about the rewarding hobby of growing orchids. We have an exciting monthly show table were members bring in their flowering plants for judging. At the end of the year prizes are given to the top points winners. Our members range from novices to professional growers with one aim -- to share their enjoyment of growing orchids. Monthly meetings regularly include a brief business meeting, a discussion of monthly orchid care, plant judging, an orchid raffle, and our monthly presentation.

|Canadian Orchid Congress||Organisation||
an association of Canadian orchid societies that is dedicated to serve the Canadian orchid-growing public. The COC represents affiliated societies and their members on Canada wide issues. This is achieved by a newsletter, a website, speaker tours, an annual conference devoted to the advancement of knowledge and appreciation of orchids in Canada, and other activities that can be shared by the member societies. There are over twenty-five Canadian orchid societies that are members of the Canadian Orchid Congress.

meetings are on the third Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Genecov Room at the Chamber of Commerce Building in downtown Tyler, Texas.

Established in 1943. Over 250 members enjoy monthly meetings as well as four study groups that also meet each month. CFOS sponsors shows to present awards for excellence and increase the public interest in the growing of orchids.

The CIOS meets at 2:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month at the Union Park Methodist Church, Des Moines. Yearly dues are $15.00 for a single membership and $25.00 for a family membership. Membership to the CIOS includes membership to the Mid-American Orchid Congress.

The orchid society meets on the second Sunday afternoon of September and January, otherwise the first Sunday of the month from October to June. Visitors are welcome. Except for special occasions, meetings are held at the recreation center of Saint Augustine’s Church, O’Brien Road, Baldwinsville, between Peck Road and Route 48. The building is handicapped accessible.

The Cincinnati Judging Center is associated with the American Orchid Society (AOS). The center serves orchid growers, commercial and amateur growers alike by judging the quality of orchid flowers against the standards the AOS carries for its awards. These awards were formerly published in the Awards Quarterly and are now published as part of the electronic database AQ Plus, available from the AOS.
